Hi, my name is Tonya Moody, and I am the Instructional Coach at Monon Trail Elementary School. I grew up in central Illinois and graduated from Illinois State University. I began my career in Chatham, IL in 2002 teaching second grade. After completing my master’s degree in Ready and Literacy, I served as a Reading Specialist and Literacy Coach. In 2011, my husband’s job took us to Texas, and in 2015 we took a transfer to Indiana to be closer to family.
I taught Kindergarten in Noblesville and then jumped at an opportunity to fill the role of Instructional Coach in Westfield. I was thrilled to begin working as an instructional Coach because I am incredibly passionate about supporting teacher and student learning. Equally exciting was having the opportunity to be on the ground floor of creating an Instructional Coach because I am incredibly passionate about supporting teacher and student learning. Equally exciting was having the opportunity to be on the ground floor of creating an Instructional Coaching team. Our team is made up of teachers who are dedicated to supporting incredible instruction while focusing on student-centered coaching. The work that is taking place at Monon Trail is unlike any school I have been in because of the level of dedication to the idea that ALL students can learn at high levels and we are going to stop at nothing to make that happen. I would love for you to follow Monon Trail’s amazing journey on Twitter by following me @MrsMoodyIC.
